Last Kindergarten Christmas Program

I realized that today was the last time I will be a parent at a Kindergarten Christmas Program! How sad! :( The kids were just so adorable tonight singing their songs & doing there cute little hand movements. The theme of the program was 'The Night Before Christmas' so that meant the kids had to wear their PJs. Well, this disappointed Jadyn who was hoping to wear a pretty dress to her performance - so we had to dress up those PJs with some Jadyn style! :) You don't have to look too hard to find her - what better way to dress up some PJs than with a pretty red tutu.

We re-discovered the Japanese Tea Gardens over by the Zoo. They have done a great job bringing this garden back! It was so pretty & peaceful there.

Trick or Treat

Babies

Look at these cute babies I had so much fun shooting. These two are sons of some friends from my work. Aren't they adorable! I have been practicing on focusing on the eyes. I love how these turned out!

Jadyn & I went to another Pumpkin Patch we found in the area. I liked this one a little better!

Pumpkins

Fall is my favorite time of year. I LOVE fall colors. The girls weren't as enthusiastic of my love of Fall. Probably because they don't enjoy putting on Fall clothes in Texas 'Fall' weather (which more closely resembles Summer)!! We were off to the pumpkin patch this weekend. I plan on visiting several others that are nearby as well.

New Lessons Learned

I am so excited. I have been reading up on my CS2 this week & I learned some new tools. I also learned how to make a collage. It took me 2 tries but I love the result!

Corpus Christi

We just got back from a short trip to Corpus Christi. I have been wanting to take some 'beach' shots all summer & finally got the chance. Unfortunately, Lexi didn't go so I didn't get both girls but we'll be back! I was pretty happy with the results. Here are just a few of the ones I have finished.

Diego - So Un-Poodley

Poor Diego - His ears had gotten very long & bushy ....& along with that a little matted as well. So when he went for his next grooming they suggested shaving his ears & starting again. He doesn't really look like a Poodle at the moment -- but he does seem a lot cooler in our warm weather! Here he is posing with his favorite pal - Dino.

Finally a Summer Vacation....

Finally on the last weekend of summer ......we got to take a short vacation! We went to Houston & Galveston for a few days. On the 1st day we went to Moody Gardens. It was more fun than we expected & we will definately be back. Here are some pictures from the aquarium there.

Then we went to the 'Palm Beach' area which had a little kids waterpark area. The girls had lots of fun here!

The next day we went to NASA. They have such a cool museum. I wish museums were this much fun when I was a kid!!

In this picture...Jadyn is actually talking to the little boy you see in the small screen. We never did find out where the other 'control center' was. :)

River's 1st Birthday

I was asked to do some pictures for River's 1st Birthday. I have taken pictures of him since he was a tiny baby. Now he is a big boy! He is one of my favorite subjects (besides my own 2 girls :) ) He is just so photogenic. Here are a few of my favorites.

How Time Flies....

I can't believe it has been months since I last posted. This summer is just passing me by :( I haven't had much time to take pictures. I felt like I was getting rusty so I brought the camera along on a little weekend outting to Landa Park. It took me forever to re-learn some of the basic Photoshop tools..... I guess I need to make an effort to take the camera out more!
